Mini rugby

Glasgow Accies Mini Rugby Section provides children from P2-P7  the opportunity to enjoy themselves & make new friends whilst understanding & developing the basics of the game.

Our season runs from September to April. We welcome players from all schools, all levels of experience and ability. There is a place at Accies for everyone.

All mini coaches are qualified, disclosure Scotland vetted and regularly attend courses run by the SRU.

Training is on a Sunday morning between 10am and 11.30 am at: New Anniesland, 21 Helensburgh Drive, Glasgow G13 1RR.

The majority or our fixtures are friendly matches against other clubs but we also participate in tournaments throughout the year; ones which bring with them the prospect of silverware and eternal glory in the playground…

Parental support and encouragement is most welcome. We politely remind all spectators that the coaches & referees are volunteers and the players are children – they may one day turn pro but not yet. Referees (most of whom are simply volunteer coaches) will make mistakes and interpret incidents and even the actual laws differently but as the saying goes “The referee is always right even when they’re wrong”.

Subs are £80 and cover insurance, cost of grounds & clubhouse and post match snacks & drinks for players.
